Top Quality and great value August 27, 2010 Roberto Leiro (Caracas, Venezuela) This is my third purchase of a Lowepro product and I couldn't be more pleased: it fits like a glove to my Canon Powershot A480 camera, and stills having plenty of space for an additional SD card and batteries without being too bulky.
I. Love. This. Case! August 16, 2010 JJ (Temple City, CA United States) I recently bought a Canon Powershot SX210 and this case fits it PERFECTLY! It's not too big (for me) and it's not too small (for big hands). I always attach the wrist strap to my cameras and you can tuck it in with the extra space this case affords you. The Lowepro 20 was recommended for the SX210 but I wanted something that didn't fit it so snugly. It has a front zippered pocket for extra media cards. Under the velcro strap is a small pocket for extra batteries, whether flat or AA. It has a sturdy belt loop and a long (thin) shoulder strap is included, which is what I was looking for in a camera case. I love this case!
Did I mention that I LOVE this case??? : )
Perfect! August 13, 2010 T. Brewer (Aurora, CO) We bought this to go with our Lumix camera and it is a perfect fit!
Buyer Beware June 28, 2010 A2Z Jeremy 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this case based on a lot of great customer reviews. Before I get to the cons on this case, let me say 2 things. 1:I own 4 other Lowepro camera cases and love them! 2: Many reviewers write based on their experience with only one model of an item. Go read the reviews on monopods; you will see alot of "I love shooting with this monopod. Shots that used to come out blurry are now clear" They haven't told you anything about THIS monopod because they have never used a different model to compare it to. They just let you know using a monopod can be a help in taking photos. Yes, having any case is better than no case at all. OK, I have tried my Lumix zs3 in 4 cases. This is the worst. Yes, the zs3 fits just fine and yes, the construction is as solid as everyone says. What makes this case inferior to the Lowepro Rezo 30 is threefold. 1] You have to undo your belt to get this on; forget about putting it on a backpack strap. Read the Rezo 30 reviews to learn about how they attach. After 3 years plus with my Rezo 15, I can tell you it's bombproof and much easier to use. 2] The Ridge 30 has ONE zipper head, The Rezo 30 has 2 heads. With two you can position one partway up the left or right side and bring the other to meet it. With one head, you have to start from the bottom on the side they chose for you.3] The big flap protects your extra batteries, etc but NOT the main compartment with the camera. So if you want fast and secure access to your extra batteries, cards, etc while having slow, clumsy yet secure access to your camera, go ahead and buy this case. If you want fast, secure access to your camera dont even think about it. The Rezo 30 shares this flaw. No one is making a case with the spare stuff in back and fast access to the camera. I am using a Duluth Trading Company [.com]walkie talkie case when I want fast access to the camera. This requires me to carry spares elsewhere. This is a pain, but I know I need the spares. I am using a Rezo 50 to carry everthing together; the front accessory pocket has a zipper so I can cut off the big honking flap. The Rezo 30 has no front zipper; you're stuck with the flap. Why have a flap to protect spares but not the main item? Don't tell me the extra padding helps. By the time something slams into you hard enough to hurt the camera in ANY decent case, you need an ambulance anyway. This product was very poorly thought through by a company which usually does much better. Its too bad that so many reviewers gave a positive review without looking at what else is out there. Happy Hunting!
Fits Sanyo Xacti gun shape dual cameras June 10, 2010 C Buddy (NYC area, USA) After pouring over dimensions of tens of these little bags and ordering 2 others that ended up not fitting, I decided on this one. I am happy to report that this bag comfortably and correctly fits a Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG100, VPC-CG102, VPC-CG20, VPC-CG10. It can be difficult to find a correctly fitting bag without too much extra space for the non-standard shape Xacti's because of the gun handle shape. I put the camera upside down and it kinda tilts diagonally in the bag. Then it's really easy to grab when on the belt.
So hopefully this review will help someone out there get the right bag for their Xacti.
Yes, when you put in 2 extra matchbook size batteries into the velcro top compartment the flap kind of sticks out a little, but it's minor. The belt loop is permanently sewn and sturdy. Comes with a medium thick neck strap with quick releases, but I don't use it. Good construction, good price, unassuming modern style. Not the thinnest physical profile when stuffed, but a good little bag.
