Sturdy product February 24, 2010 t.h.monti My only real issue with this case is that it would have been better with a velcro closure instead of the clip. Other than that, it's a wonderful product, very sturdy, and the Canon G10 fits well inside. It has the option of attaching it to another Lowepro bag, or on a belt. Comes with a shoulder strap, too.
"Buckle" does not hold - probably just a defective unit. January 12, 2010 Tom North (Bay Area, CA) I bought this for my Canon G11 and, like the other reviewers, was pleased with the compactness and disappointed that there isn't a small inner pocket for a memory card. Unfortunately the closure (buckle) on mine does not hold and pops open with just a very modest tug. Probably a simple defect but you might want to test your's just in case there is a whole batch that are defective. I also would have preferred Velcro since the buckle has side releases that are under the flap of the case and not very accessible when it is on your belt.
The Perfect Portable G-10 Camera Bag January 6, 2010 New England Tool Snob (Auburn, MA) I bought this functional nylon bag as well as the leather Cannon bag that has the cool magnetic clasp for the G-10. This Lowepro G-Res 10 bag is so easy to use and fits the G-10 along with an attached wrist-strap so well that I seldom use the sporty leather bag. The padding of the Lowepro is very good and the double-layer Velcro belt strap sticks reliably to your belt or belt loop. The only downside is that there isn't any room for a spare battery. However, it is the perfect bag if portability, protection, quality, and cost are most important.
Perfect for my G11 December 9, 2009 C. Ballard 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wanted the most simple case I could get, and this was it. No extra pockets, just one for the camera. I don't even use the strap it came with, I just leave the strap that is attached to the camera outside of the bag so I can carry it along. I got exactly what I wanted with this case.
Great Belt Case For Canon G11 November 27, 2009 Christopher (Atlantic Beach, NC) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I did my research PRIOR to purchasing the G-Res 10 camera pouch. Was looking for a compact belt pouch without any bulk to house my Canon G11. This pouch is exactly that and works perfectly. I use a small Op/Tech hand strap on the G11 and prefer to let the strap rest outside the top of the G-Res case even though I could carefully fit it inside. The G11 is a snug fit while in the G-Res and the camera is perfectly protected. The velcro strap used to attach to your belt is sturdy and secure. This review is about using the G-Res 10 pouch with a Canon G11 camera so your mileage may vary.
Again, the G11 is a compact camera and I wanted a case that was compact. When one or more extra storage pockets are included on these compact cases they really are no longer all that compact. So folks, if your looking for a belt pouch to accommodate extra memory cards, tripod attachments, batteries, kitchen sinks...then buy the appropriate case for your needs.
As far as a compact, well built and snug fit for a Canon G11 I can recommend this case. For other compact cameras...think about what you want to carry in it, measure (take into consideration the camera strap) and purchase a case that matches your requirements.
