Ever since my first lowepro case, I've seen the light. July 30, 2010 HMMWV (santa clara, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was sent a Lowepro case on amazon vine to review a while back and really liked it (it was a toploader design). I used it for my smaller camera and rapidly purchased the next size up for my E3 olympus with the dual battery tray, which it fit nicely with a 50mm prime lens and an extension tube for magnification without loss.
Now the time came for my SWD 200mm autofocus zoom lens. I shoot with it quite often and wanted a matching set of toploader cases. I ordered multiple bodys so as to prevent dust ingress which meant a bag for every camera/lens combo.
This arrived on time and as usual ranked the same 5 stars as the small and midsize lowepro cases do. I like the extra room on the front pocket to store accessories. As the largest of the product line this has plenty of room for long lenses and accessories. Again, Lowepro gives attention to detail by covering the internal zipper with a leather flap to prevent scratching the camera body.
I just wished they made a case for my pro audio recording gear that goes on the road with me. Not everything must be a camera!
What were they thinking? July 19, 2010 C. ruBIn (Planet Earth) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Yes, it's a nice case. But the lid opens the wrong way. If you want to carry the case on your right side the lid opens to the rear. Duh.
No more slinging the camera around without protection! July 16, 2010 Rizzo (Denver, CO) This small version of a large camera case is perfect. I have a Nikon D70 and a few lenses, but periodically, I wish to carry the camera alone, rather than the larger bag I keep it in. This works great, never worry about the camera banging loose on my side while I am ready to take photos. It is easy to carry, easy to reach into, and comfortable without feeling bulky.
The padding is thick, providing great protection for the camera. The larger pocket is just enough for small items especially the Nikkor lenses I have. I like the color, the strap is long enough and the case feels good at my side. I like the weatherproof rugged material. Since I don't do a ton with the camera, this is just my size for carrying around the camera. .....Rizzo
It's way too big... July 9, 2010 Jess (Houston, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a well built product, no doubt. But if you're looking for a DSLR bag that is easy to carry around and at the same time not telling people to look at your expensive camera, this is NOT the one.
I ordered this bag hopping it can replace my DOMKE bag for an upcoming backpacking trip overseas. Unfortunately, and to my surprise, this bag is too big to carry around....not around town (if you don't want people to stare at you) and definitely not on a hiking trip either. I am sending this bag back to Amazon and will continue to use my DOMKE bag which looks nicer and makes me look more like a local than a tourist.
Seems like a good case June 22, 2010 C. Ouillette 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Haven't had it that long but it seems sturdy and protective. Only drawback for me is only one of my lenses works with it, my compact macro. Otherwise my regular macro and other lenses are all too long.
